The costs for lighting represent a large share in the budgets of cities and municipalities. Current federal government funding programs encourage municipalities to save electricity and provide financial relief.

In this way, municipalities can equip their indoor and hall lighting as well as outdoor lighting with efficient LED technology subsidized by the government. The BMUB funding program’s next application window runs from July 1 to September 30, 2017.Who can apply?Municipalities and associations of several municipalities, companies, enterprises, and other organizations with at least 50.1 percent municipal participation, sports clubs with non-profit status, public non-profit and religious community kindergartens and schools, public and independent non-profit child and youth welfare institutions or their sponsors can apply for funding. What is funded?
